Last week we touched on the two back-to-back Aries new moons and how they bookend the Aries season (March 21st – April 20th). We also introduced creative ways to add depth, information, and a new perspective to a situation. Today, we will add a new tool to the Aries Season Toolbox: Tarot and the Four of Swords, and build upon this information. But first, let’s recap!
Aries Season Toolbox
We now know that the moon affects your moods, emotions, and feelings. It can also symbolize change. A rush of new information may be coming in, or you may feel that life is moving quickly. And Aries season, spring, and the new moon is a time to consider a new direction, choices, and ideas.
What would be helpful for you to know right now? Adding the tarot deck, let’s add another layer of insight and information.
The Four of Swords
In the Four of Swords, the Swords are the element of air. They carry clear, direct, and sharp messages.
Four is the number of stability, security, and consistency.
Keywords for the Four of Swords are rest, relaxation, peace, sanctuary, recuperation, self-protection, awakening, re-entering the world, release from isolation, restlessness, and burnout.
The suit of swords is often the least liked in the tarot deck because when a sword card shows up, it often represents some test. And there’s a good chance there will be some work to do. Meaning, work for YOU to do.
This Week’s Challenge
So, what is the work required of the Four of Swords? Quiet. That’s right. The Four of Swords is challenging you to rest. Constant activity is a habit. There’s always so much to do that slowing down or taking a break is something you either need to remember to do or put off until later.
Four of Swords says to take the time to think things over without rushing. This is especially true if you’re facing a significant change. Take some time and gain some perspective.
In this hectic moment, between these two Aries new moons, your mission, if you accept it, is to stop and be still.
Sound crazy? Maybe. Is it direct and clear, just like a sword? Absolutely.
Why not try a new approach in this season of new ideas and directions? I’m in. You?
Next week, we blend the chocolate (moon) and peanut butter (tarot) to create something truly magical. But before you go, check out last week’s blog, Doubling Down on the New Moon in Aries Season, and then take a few minutes to watch my short video on this week’s card.👇
Until next time,
