Welcome to post #2, He’s Not Superman (and neither are you), in this month’s Knight of Wands series. Are you noticing the magnetic fast-paced, risk-taking energy of the Knight of Wands? It’s quite a rush, so let’s talk about it—why is he showing up now?
You are NOT Superman
Maybe you’re stuck in a rut, feeling low energy, lacking self-confidence, or simply down on yourself. Perhaps you’re thinking of moving, transforming a relationship, or beginning a new stage of life, a new job or career, but feel constrained somehow.
Well, it’s the Knight of Wands who’s enticing you toward this new stage because he’s always on the move, loves experimenting through new experiences, and wants to be where the action is. He never says no to traveling anywhere because he lives for the adventure of it all. In truth, adventure is this fiery creative Knight’s middle name!
He also tends to rush into things without thinking about the consequences. His impatience, also personified by his prancing horse, illustrates how anxious they are to get on with their exciting journey! In short, he tends to leap before he looks, and in his haste to get going, he doesn’t always follow a clear plan or strategy, which can then affect his long-term success. Plus, he can be disorganized, like a fire that rages out of control. Remember, while he’s not a child, he’s also not a fully mature adult—yet—either.
When he acknowledges that his impatience can get him into trouble—and he usually does recognize this as he matures—the Knight of Wands learns to admit he’s not Superman. Once the Knight accepts that he needs to delegate and seek the help and brainpower of others to pick up the slack to help finish what he started, he stops experiencing setbacks that cause him to lose time on his journey. So, you want to embrace this knight’s fire but not get consumed by it.
Make a Plan
In what area of life do you find yourself restless, craving additional excitement, the thrill of adventure, or simply wanting to try something new and different? The Knight of Wands is here to motivate you to become free enough to take action and remind you that you can do it! And then remember that the Knight of Wands has shown up this spring season to remind you that there’s nothing you can’t do with a bit of forethought and solid planning. After all, the Knight of Wands brings his fire to get you moving.
The one caution this Knight brings with him when he appears is that it pays to strategize. Simply put: Make a plan! Seriously—Make. A. Plan.
So, what’s been tugging at you or enticing you toward a new adventure? Your challenge this week: What’s your plan to make it happen? Hit reply and let me know!
