Today is my day – Happy Birthday to me!
This is such an exciting week, I wanted to kick it off with a shout out – to you!
For those of you following the always interesting and often fascinating world of astrology, you know that this month arrived with some fanfare. We had our first of two eclipses last week, on April 15th. It was a lunar eclipse, a blood moon. The second event of this month is to occur this week. A grand cardinal cross on April 23rd – and no laughing matter. The final event of the month is to occur on April 29th, a solar eclipse. With all of this astrological activity, things have been a bit emotionally fraught. Things are unsure. Change is swirling around us.
While this is all going on, I am preparing to attend one of my favorite events of the year. A big tarot conference called The Readers Studio created by my friends at The Tarot School. This year, I will be teaching/offering a class to my fellow tarot enthusiasts. My topic: The Essentials of Reading Tarot Like a Pro. See link here: http://tarotschool.com/RS14/RS14_Berrin.html
So often when I do a reading, my querent is amazed by what I know. They ask how I was able to pick up on certain nuances of their situation. In my class, I plan on sharing a few of my secrets.
No worries friends, I plan on sharing a few here with you as well.
This blog, and the next few I send, will share a few such details.
Today, let’s start with something which seems so basic. Color. Do you know how much information you can pick up about something/someone from the use of color? So much!
The tarot cards are full of images, numbers, and colors, and not to forget, they all have meanings as well! One of the many things I often look to see in a spread of cards is what colors come up repeatedly. I then take this to the next level by using a few of my other information sources (people, structures, natural resources, animals) and use that to form an idea or scenario (in my head).
My favorite color is orange. Always has been. And, seeing that today is my birthday, I chose my beloved orange to share some insight on color.
Orange is a power color. It is active and vibrant and connected to movement. Orange triggers creativity. Would you believe that people who love orange are often curious and love exploring new things? The color orange radiates warmth, happiness and a cheerful energy. It is uplifting and optimistic. Orange offers up strength in difficult times. Orange can help if you are depressed, bored or lonely. It brings out our inner joy. Orange is social and freedom loving. Someone drawn to the color orange shows a certain optimism about the future and a natural enthusiasm for living their lives. Orange is looking to expand and succeed in life. Orange is also a stimulant – so, if you find yourself often hungry, or in need of scaling back or if you have chosen to paint your kitchen in this vibrant color, you might want to tone it down a bit or think about repainting.
Where is the color orange showing up in your life? What is your experience with the color orange? Do you like it? Why or why not? What color do you find showing up time and again in your life? Requests for my next choice of color?
Please comment on the color orange, this blog post and your thoughts on my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dina-Berrin/110319915692369. Or, hey, just stop by and wish me a Happy Birthday!
Until the next time . . . . .
