Have you recently heard from a old friend that you haven’t seen, spoken to or even thought of in a LONG time?
Have you changed things up a bit in your life – a routine, way of thinking or overall approach to how you are living your life?
Are you moving in a direction that you have been thinking about but not acting on for too long now?
Does it feel that these connections and/or changes are out of the blue or, if you dig a little deeper, maybe not?
How can color help us get a feel for what is going on?
Let’s talk about the color blue.
Blue is so prevalent in our lives.
All we need to do is look to the sky to see how the color blue shows up in our lives. Some words that come to mind are expansiveness, open space, imagination, inspiration and freedom.
Did you know that the color blue is the most favorite color of both men and women throughout the world? It is also considered to be the friendliest color on the spectrum.
Blue is the color of the ocean and water and represents life.
Blue is also the color of sleep and the twilight.
Blue is connected to the moon – in color and in its emotional connection.
Blue brings heightened intuition, sincerity, peace and joy.
Blue is calming, gentle and inspires a certain composure.
Blue is truth, loyalty, communications, reliability, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
The Judgement card, with its blue background, is an awakening. It is a time to make new plans with new purposes and new ambitions.
The Judgement card literally shows ‘Judgement Day’ or an awakening when it is time to prepare for a new stage in our lives.
The picture on this card is both beautiful and sometimes puzzling to those who look to understand what they are seeing. Yes, those are naked figures we see rising from gray coffin-like boxes. Their arms extended out in a welcoming pose, accepting the higher knowledge that Archangel Gabriel is sharing with open arms. The flag is an announcement to change. And, the horn is calling to us (out loud) to rise to the occasion. This is not an unhappy scene. These figures show facial expressions of wonder and elation.
The Judgement card can be complicated because it often deals with circumstances that can be challenging and often final.
Judgement can be about forgiveness – on both sides – you may be doing the forgiving or you may be the one forgiven. It can also be about the need to do something that you have been putting off or having the courage to finally end something that just isn’t working. It is about moving on.
Judgement can often be a time of healing. The kind of healing in a hospital or possibly just time to get over a life event.
The Judgment card indicates past efforts will now yield positive results. It is up to you to use your judgment and good sense to make the changes that you desire.
It is a time to focus on goal setting, using the knowledge you have gathered from past actions. It is important to note that sometimes experience is gained from poor decisions we have made, and sometimes we hold ourselves responsible for mistakes that have been made. It is time to forgive and move forward.
Combining the color blue and Judgement, we are able to to find the strength, trust and inner wisdom to find the answers that we seek.
It is time to invite that old friend into your life again or is it best to let sleeping dogs lie? You must decide.
Some questions for you to consider: Am I judging myself or others too severely? How can I raise myself out of a situation that seems bleak? Am I ready to step out of the box/routine which has become stale and uninspiring? Is it time for a transformation in my life?
