Page of Swords – Building Resilience
What a great month November has shaped up to be!
There has been so much going on astrologically, not to mention what has been playing out on the world’s stage. A presidential election, a massive hurricane that threw the northeast for a loop and then some, a couple of eclipses, mercury retrograde and now direct (yay!), and the buzz about the 2012 phenonomenon. All of this and holiday shopping, it makes you want to run out and bury your head in the newest Starbucks confection.
So, as usual, when I am looking for a little guidance and direction, I turn to my old faithful, the tarot deck. It never disappoints when I am looking for some light and wisdom.
The Page of Swords showed up and I am happy to say, the message is loud and clear. Pages are often messengers, presenting you with a situation or challenge that details its element. Swords are air and are all about the mind . . . how we think and analyze. And since the pages are the babies or youngster of the tarot, the message is also that there is something to be learned here and a growth opportunity is at hand. The Page of Swords has a few pieces of advice. First, you should use your mind to really think about what is going on, maybe even do some research. Next, act honestly, don’t try to deceive. Especially with Mercury (the planet of communications) now having gone direct, it is time to help clear up any confusion. Third, do the right thing, treat others equally and know that you have a responsibility in this situation (to thine own self be true). And lastly, keep trying, don’t give up and when all is said and done you can walk away with your head held high. Keep your focus on what is happening in front of you, not on what is being whispered around you. Gossip is just a whole lot of hot air!
