It’s a new year, and I’m trying something new! Think of it as a phased exploration of a tarot card over several newsletters to you so you can take a deeper dive into the full of meaning of each card.
Let’s make the most positive use of this month’s card energy as you own your intuition.
The Queen of Pentacles
The Queen of Pentacles—a personal favorite of mine—is February’s card of the month. The sight of her makes me want to exhale. Her energy is nurturing and grounded. She represents growth, abundance, resources, and trust. She’s service-oriented like a mom, a warm and generous caretaker, and a nest builder.
While she can be slow-moving (don’t rush the Queen!), the Queen of Pentacles can be shrewd, disciplined, cautious, and very business-focused. She’s also solid, patient, and trustworthy—someone who’s got your back, and listens without judgment. She has made a success of her life and now that she’s the Queen, she wants to help you do the same.
Queens tend to be more inwardly focused, advising you to go inside for a while. Her presence reminds you that if you focus on your inner landscape, you can blossom more successfully in your outer life. Remember, the tarot cards are like mirrors, so when you see the Queen of Pentacles, you’re looking at yourself. As she peers back to you from that mirror, she asks . . . ~How can you tend to your inner life by throwing some self-nurturing sunshine and love on yourself?
Some suggestions endorsed by the Queen of Pentacles include allowing yourself time to journal, meditate, exercise, practice yoga, cook, indulge in your favorite meal, or simply carve out time for that relaxing bubble bath! Grounded, resourceful, hardworking, down-to-earth, and socially conscious, the Queen of Pentacles remains in touch with her outer physical reality because she allows herself the necessary time to get in touch with her inner one. As a result, she’s got the world at her fingertips.
This Queen is capable of so many things, she makes me think of that commercial from years ago for Enjoli perfume, which you can watch here.
The Queen is an Enjoli woman. And, So. Are You!

This Week’s Mission
Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to focus on at least one way you can implement the energy of the Queen of Pentacles into your life. How are you listening to your intuition? What are you paying attention to? I’d love to hear what works for you in turning inward in order to plant seeds that will blossom into successful outward manifestation! Email me and let me know!
I’ll be back next time with more about why this Queen’s archetypal energy remains important to understand as the month progresses! Until then…
Ever upward!
