Welcome to February!
For those of us who live where the seasons change and winter rears its fearsome head this time of year, how wonderful it is to see that yes, there is a light up ahead and it is getting brighter. And for those of us who are enjoying the sun and warmth, I ask you to close your eyes and envision it . . . really feel how things are getting clearer, focused and starting to come together.
Earlier, as I found myself sitting with my tarot deck, looking for a ray of light, a feeling of warmth and assurance, I closed my eyes and focused on all of the energy and activity that has filled the past few weeks. And then I shuffled. The card that revealed itself to me was the Six of Wands.
The first thing I was drawn to was the number Six. Six represents harmony, balance, sincerity, love and truth. Six reveals solutions for us. Six shows up at a time when diplomacy is needed, when approaching delicate matters. Six is about enlightenment, lighting the way when we are in need of balance and guidance. Six asks us to choose forgiveness and to be compassionate.
The first meaning that comes to mind with the Six of Wands is victory. An early victory. You have made it through the struggles of the Five and have achieved your goal. Now it is time for the public recognition and acknowledgement of all of your hard work. But wait, the work is not yet complete. This is not the time to rest on your laurels and bask in the adoration of your peers, it is time to shift to that next gear and really turn on the juice. The Six of Wands is about finding your own road to success. It is time to build on your own personal brand and reputation. Hold your head high and let other see where hard work and determination will take you.
Fashion week kicked off here in NY this week and I thought in honor of it, I would pick an accessory from the card, give some information about it and then ask you, dear reader, how it shows up in your life.
So, the piece I have chosen is the brown boot(s). Though we only see one, the other is implied. This boot is very functional and although it does serve the purpose of protection, it is not as thick or as strong as armor. This boot has a job to do, it has somewhere to go. Wearing this boot shows the individual in the card as active and engaged. What this says to me is that it is time to move forward and put some purpose into our actions. Move with intention. Be strategic. You are at a time in life where you receive the praise and acknowledgement you have rightly earned.
Questions to ask yourself: Where do I need to bring balance into my life in order to make room for success? What areas of my life would benefit most from a little kindness and forgiveness? How can I be most open to claiming this victory? Where do I need to be humble? Where can I get myself an awesome pair of brown boots?
I would love to hear about your latest and greatest success. Keep moving forward. Keep believing it is here.
