Success and The Chariot
Happy New Year and welcome to 2013!
For many of us, December is a bittersweet month due to the mad mix of frantic holiday shopping and preparations, an endless loop of holiday parties filled with rich foods and too much alcohol, and of course the family and social obligations that wreak havoc on our psyches. Even so, each of us finds a way to make it through. As we cross over into January, it is almost as if we have reached that light at the end of the tunnel. Winter has set in. It is now time to hunker down and figure out what we want to make happen in the next month, 6 months and even year.
With all of this in mind, I sat down with intention and asked the universe to give me some advice and guidance on where we are today. If this is my starting point, what energy shall I bring with me as I walk down this path?
The Chariot, associated with the astrological sign of cancer, is all about victory, tact, skill, action and overcoming opposition using your confidence and control. Cancer, being the crab, has a hard outer shell, which protects him from being easily hurt in his world. You too must learn how to protect yourself, to not let comments, thoughts or acts of others slow you down or upset you. You must be determined, self disciplined and hard working. If you adhere to this mindset, you will triumph over challenges or anyone who is trying to limit you. As the saying goes . . . . that which doesn’t kill you will make you stronger, and you *will* come out stronger in the end. The Chariot asks that you assert yourself, and be bold. What a nice change from where we have come from in the month of December.
Some questions for you to think about this month: What drives you? What are your motivations? What are you trying to control? And why? Do you have the skills you need to succeed? Would another approach to achieving your goals be worth considering?
If you notice, our charioteer sits under a canopy of 6 pointed stars. These stars represent the celestial influences at work. By taking action we send a message to the universe that we are ready, and the universe responds in kind.
