Hey, it’s March!
Lately, my readings have had a palpable theme. My clients have been saying things like: “I’m feeling stuck.” “I’m not feeling any movement.” “It’s as if there is something standing in my way, but I don’t know what it is.” “I’m a bit anxious/fearful/unclear about what’s next for me.”
Whatever is happening for you, I hope that you are addressing the metaphorical elephant in the room.
This month is about that elephant.
Our card this month is The Tower.
Seeing the card, you may silently wish I would offer to slide this card back into the deck and offer to have us pick another. So sorry. No can do. There’s something here for you.
The Tower card represents change (sometimes sudden) and often in a profound and significant way. It may appear that this change is being forced upon you. But, with some reflection, you may acknowledge this is something you have been seeking, whether on a subconscious or conscious level.
The Tower can be something of a wake up call. Although it can feel harsh and sudden in the right now, the long view can feel understood and cleansing.
The Tower symbolizes the things that you hold on to in your life – the things, people, attitudes or beliefs – that are no longer serving you. You may feel trapped in a situation that has suddenly turned on you. You are in a dead end job. You are in an unhappy relationship or marriage. You have an addiction. You may long for change, escape and freedom. Too often we lack the inner strength required to get the job done.
Maybe you secretly hope the company you work for will fold and this will take care of you having to actually quit your job. Or, that your boyfriend/husband will break up with you so you don’t need to have that difficult conversation. You want to hit reset.
It is the Tower action that shows up in your life and delivers on those visions and desires.
The Tower is about sudden change. It is where you experience upheaval, have your plans disrupted, are surprised by the turn of events and/or deal with an overall sense of chaos.
The Tower is about releasing what is no longer working for you. It can be explosive, angry, self-centered, emotional and where you are finally done and let go.
It is your survival instinct. Where you are courageous, passionate and maybe a little bit competitive.
The Tower is about falling down, being humbled, having a turn in fortune and possibly a blow to your ego.
The Tower is a revelation. You may suddenly realize the truth in a situation, expose what has been hidden, have a sudden insight, see through the illusions, get an answer, or unexpectedly see everything as its truth in a flash of clarity.
The Tower wants you to know that this too shall pass. Once this path has been cleared for you, you will be able to move forward in a smarter, leaner and more insightful way.
It is freedom, enlightenment and a true sense of aliveness.

Questions you may ask yourself as you consider the meaning of The Tower in your life: What needs to crumble in order to let some light in? How can I shake things up? What am I pretending about? Where am I stuck? What is real? What is illusion? Is this true? What is the truth? How can I be liberated? What does freedom feel like? Where do I feel most alive in my life?
As with most things in life, how you respond to the Tower makes all the difference in how you emerge from the experience.
Sometimes we need chaos in order to find clarity, and disruption in order to find the right solution.
Embracing the change may be a lot to ask.
Shall we agree to look for the positive in it?
May you shine like the crown and burn like the fire so vibrantly illustrated above as you seek clarity, insight and own your truth.
