I want to share a little story with you…
You know that feeling when something’s off, but you can’t quite put your finger on what it is? Recently, I found myself in one of those moments—stuck in a personal pickle that left me feeling uneasy and unsettled.
We’ve all been there, right? That nudge from the universe, that whisper in your ear saying, “There’s a lesson here. You just need to figure it out.”
So, I did what I always do when life gets murky—I reached for my trusty tarot deck, looking for clarity. And what card did I pull?
The World reversed.
Of course. Cue the eye roll 🙄 and cosmic chuckle 🌌✨. The World reversed. Naturally, I had to ask myself, “What’s the message here?”
Usually, when the World shows up, it heralds completion, fulfillment, and that “I’ve finally made it” moment. But here it was, reversed. Why was it showing up like that, and what was it trying to tell me?
The more I thought about it, the more I realized that this reversal wasn’t about delay, avoidance, or things not happening yet, as reversals often are. No, this went much deeper. The World reversed felt like a mirror, showing me that I was the block standing in my way. I have to admit, that stung.
Uncovering the Deeper Message of The World Reversed
The World signifies integration and wholeness. Upright, it tells you that everything is in alignment, that you’re at the finish line. But when it’s reversed, the energy is twisted. It’s as though the universe is saying, “You’re close—but you’re not quite there yet, and here’s why.” Something, someone (likely you), is preventing that full expression of completion from taking place.
Have you experienced this particular phenomenon, too? You know what needs to happen, but something—fear, doubt, discomfort—keeps you from letting it flow. It’s not that you don’t want to move forward, but the block is real.
This sense of discomfort showed me that I needed to stop resisting the lesson and remove the block—even if it hurt.
Whether it’s a situation you’re avoiding, a conversation you’re dreading, or an emotion you’re pushing away, the message is clear: “Completion is within reach, but you must clear the path first.”
