If creativity is how you unleash yourself upon the world (or wish it were), let’s look at why Strength is the perfect wingman.
Creativity is one of those words that can be interpreted in many ways. You may be an artist, an interior designer, or a professional stylist expressing yourself through color, fabric, or fashion. You prefer to express yourself through words and hone your craft by writing songs, creating poetry, or dreaming up memes that make people laugh and share with their friends. However it applies, know that your unique approach is what makes you, YOU!
Strength’s Lessons on Creativity
Let’s explore a few valuable real-life lessons Strength has to share about creativity.
Embrace Authentic Expression
True artistry lies in expressing ourselves authentically without fear of judgment or comparison. Strength says to wear that funky hat, dye your hair canary yellow, and dress like it’s summer year-round because that’s your style. Allow your true essence to shine through.
Leave Your Comfort Zone
Creativity thrives when we push past fear and put ourselves in situations in which we’ve never found ourselves. Go ahead, push boundaries, experiment with different mediums, do something different, and you will find that this is where the hidden gems are found.
Trust the Creative Process
As with many things, creativity requires patience and trust. Allow yourself to be imperfect – or even better, give yourself permission to make mistakes, learn from them, and watch your creative journey unfold.
A story just sprang to mind about a colleague of mine. He had a big idea for a book. Although, for a long time, he did not see himself as a writer. Keeping his day job, he took the slow and steady route. Every day, whether he felt like it or not, he wrote. And, in time, the book has taken shape. My colleague stopped worrying about what others thought and wrote in his voice, using his unique background and skill set. Once he stepped out of his comfort zone, his path organically unfolded, and at the end of it, to his surprise, he found out that he was an author.
So, dear creative soul, let your imagination take wing and fly to the stars, allow your brushstrokes to glide across the canvas, and let your dancing feet find their rhythm of life.
Keep creating, exploring your strengths, and never stop believing you can do more than you know. Tame that lion 🦁 and you may find what you initially set out to do has a different picture, but it will be valuable.
