Four of Wands shows up this month shining like the Sun and bringing good vibes, happiness, excitement, and joy.
In tarot, Fours are Security, Stability, Consolidation, and Order. It’s the number of balance, and it’s rock solid. Four has found its feet and has them firmly planted on the ground.
Wands are the element of fire and are associated with creativity, ambition, expansion, determination, strength, and primal energy. They are the solutions that seem to come from nowhere, a beautiful piece of art that pours out of you, a genius (business) idea, a fabulous fashion statement, or a creative meal cooked totally from inspiration.
Filled with fire and optimism, the Four of Wands radiates a positivity that is full of warmth. Support surrounds you. This card is an open door with a strong sense of community and acceptance. All visitors are welcome.
Are You Ready to Celebrate?
Four of Wands is often seen as the marriage card, and can also be read as an engagement, graduation, job promotion, family vacation, or successful business investment.
If you’ve been feeling held back or pinned down in some way, the Four of Wands is here to cut you loose. It represents a release from a challenging situation or sheds light on how you might set yourself free.
Speaking of free… this past month I teamed up with the super inspiring and fiercely talented yoga instructor, Jamie Lugo. We held our workshop, Ignite Your Intuition, at Yoga Shanti. It was a night of yoga, tarot, and intuition, and so Four of Wands! What’s more wands-like than tapping into the primal energy that is radiating from the fire in your belly?
While we all have access to our intuition, very few of us put it to regular use. In class, we tuned in and turned the volume up (yeah, we took out our tarot decks and started to play 😊.) We learned new tools and connected to our inner roots. By throwing the rules out the window, we had fun and using our creativity, connection, and the freedom of not worrying about being wrong to tap into our intuition. It was awesome!
Wondering What It All Means?
Here are some journal prompts or questions for the Four of Wands:
- How can you share joyful moments with other people in your life?
- Write about what you are celebrating.
- Think about what is noteworthy about your community.
- Do you know where in your life that you need to cut loose?
- Name ways that you can use the fire in your belly?
- Make a list of what is most inspiring to you.
- What does freedom mean to you?
- What does your intuition tell you?
The happiness and harmony we experience in the Four of Wands is a reminder to feel the joy of living.
