Is it just me, or are many of the conversations you’ve been having lately leaning towards the topic of joy? As in: Finding joy in your day, choosing the option that brings you the most joy, tossing clothes and other items that are clogging up your life because they don’t bring you joy, and asking yourself: “What brings me joy?”
The Empress
The Empress is abundance, prosperity, strength, beauty, fulfillment, compassion, sensuality, nature, fertility, and, you guessed it, joy. In the Major Arcana, she is number three, which is associated with growth, self-expression, communication, and creativity. If she appears in your reading, it can indicate the timing is right to move forward with a project or idea – your hard work, effort, and patience are about to pay off.
Mother Nature, Mother Earth, or the universal mother, the Empress is tarot’s maternal figure and is known as the “Great Goddess.” Head nurturer and caregiver to those around her, she’s a strong matriarch who is respected, cherished, and loved by all. Like many real moms, she can sometimes come across as overpowering, controlling, and demanding. And, when we most need it, the Empress shows up with a comforting hug, a soothing word, a shoulder to cry on, and the promise that everything is going to be okay.
The Empress is aware of herself and her femininity – she is all woman. She is soft and loving and, at the same time, strong and powerful.
Interpretation

Romance and love are literally in the cards! It can also mean great sex, and, if you notice, she looks (ahem, a little bit) pregnant in the cards. Please be aware and be careful if this is not your intent!
💼 WORK
You are feeling creative and full of good ideas. Maybe you are thinking of a career change to something having to do with the arts.
🧘 HEALTH
Self-care is on the agenda for you this month. Take time to nurture yourself and slow the pace down a notch or two.
